The Safar (July) edition of Murabbi Magazine explores the theme “Living the Sunnah at Home,” encouraging families to make the guidance and example of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ part of everyday family life.
This edition features “The Learner as Mutarabbi,” based on by Professor Mohamad Abdalla . The article explores the concept of the mutarabbi, the child who actively and willingly participates in their own journey of tarbiyah and strives for spiritual, moral and intellectual growth.
Readers will also find practical guidance for building a Sunnah-centred home, including raising children to sleep and rise early, reviving the Sunnahs before sleep, and learning from the du‘as of Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام to raise resilient Muslim children in a new homeland.
Significantly, this is the first edition of the magazine to feature student authors. Year 10 students Hiba Haq and Ramira Fatima Zoe contribute “Estranged from the World – A Poem for Our Parents,” a heartfelt reflection on parental love, sacrifice and gratitude.
The edition concludes with activities for the whole family, including the Family Quiz Corner and the Complete the Qur’an in 30 Days Challenge.
