On Thursday 29th May, our Year 7 and 8 LEAP students took to the city streets for a multicultural walking tour of Melbourne as part of their Inquiry Learning this term. Starting at Federation Square, the group explored key cultural and historical sites including Chinatown, the QV Centre, the city人妖天堂app famous laneways, the Royal Arcade, and the Greek Precinct.
Along the way, students discovered how migration has shaped Melbourne人妖天堂app identity, from early European influences to more recent arrivals.
The tour brought to life the sights, sounds, and stories of the many communities that contribute to our city人妖天堂app rich cultural fabric.
It also offered students the chance to connect their classroom learning with real-world examples from our studies of Intercultural Understanding and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and culture.
Students engaged thoughtfully and represented our school with pride.
It was a valuable day of learning outside the classroom鈥攁nd a meaningful step in deepening their understanding of Australia人妖天堂app multicultural society.
Our thanks to the teachers and Learning Enrichment Team who organised the excursion and accompanied the students on their adventure.
