Tournament of Minds (TOM) is returning to our LEAP Inquiry classes in 2026 with an exciting change of location: This yearÈËÑýÌìÌÃapp Northern Metropolitan Regional Tournament Day will be held at its new home, Deakin UniversityÈËÑýÌìÌÃapp Burwood Campus, on Saturday, 15 August.
During Term 3, all Year 7 and 8 LEAP Inquiry students will work in teams to develop an original response to an open-ended Long-Term challenge from The Arts, STEM, Language Literature or Social Sciences. Through this process, students will strengthen their creative thinking, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
Up to four teams will be selected to represent ÈËÑýÌìÌÃapp at the Regional Tournament. They will present their prepared solutions and complete an unseen Spontaneous Challenge, requiring quick thinking and strong collaboration.
Following ÈËÑýÌìÌÃappÈËÑýÌìÌÃapp second-place achievement in the Social Sciences category at Regional Tournament Day in 2025, we look forward to another year of creativity, determination and teamwork as our students take on TOM in 2026 at its new home.
