As part of International Women人妖天堂app Day 2026, a group of our senior girls attended a special luncheon at Parliament of Victoria, where they engaged with leaders and explored the role of women in shaping society. This year人妖天堂app theme,聽鈥淏alance the Scales鈥, encouraged important conversations around fairness, representation, and the ongoing need to address inequality affecting women and girls.
Throughout the day, our Senior students gained insight into leadership and decision-making within government, while also having the opportunity to ask questions and hear perspectives from Ministers on issues that matter to young people today. These discussions prompted reflection on the importance of advocacy, confidence, and active participation in community and civic life.

The experience extended beyond formal discussions, as our Senior girls connected with peers from a range of schools, exchanging ideas and perspectives in a supportive and collaborative environment. These interactions highlighted the value of student voice, and the impact young people can have when they are informed and engaged.
A visit to the Parliamentary chambers, along with the opportunity to observe proceedings firsthand, further deepened students鈥 understanding of how policies and decisions are made.
Going to State Parliament was an incredible opportunity that gave me a deeper understanding of how this system works. The visit was genuinely informative and helped me see the decision鈥憁aking process up close. I really enjoyed this excursion because it allowed me to have the opportunity to meet and learn about the women who lead in parliament. It was inspiring to see their roles and understand how they contribute to creating fairness and change.
